續問...有關狗狗又拉又吐的問題

是這樣的 ,昨天接獲狗友求救,說一隻6個月大的雪納瑞,又拉又吐已經好幾天,昨天住院掛點滴,精神不佳,不吃也不喝,已經有做的檢查:
驗便:正常(腹內幾乎只是水)
驗血:正常
拉便狀況都是水(褐色)
體溫:正常

結果我打電話回新竹一問,又碰巧有另一隻米格魯也是又拉又吐掛點滴中...醫生說是流行性的病毒性腸炎又開始了~

我想問的是:

倘若沒有檢查出任何病因,狗狗為什麼會又拉又吐,因為檢查項目出來的值都是正常的,那我們在碰到狗狗這種情況時,應該採取要做的檢查項目為何?可以把名稱詳列嗎?

若狗狗是懷疑為腸炎(病毒性感染),那是否有可以確認是否是被感染的檢驗盒,那名稱是?而確認為腸炎時,除了掛點滴外,還能做什麼?

若是一般腸炎醫生會採取的診療方式為何?

不好意思,因為我真的很苦惱這樣的問題,倘若我能知道更詳細的醫療資訊,那當我到任一家醫院時,就大概可以知道診療方向是否正確,也能在第一黃金時間讓狗狗遠離危險~

以下為美國愛屋李醫師的回覆:

The most two common viral-induced gastroenteritis are Parvovirus and corona virus. It is very unfortunately that there is no medicine can cure this two diseases at this time. The puppy can be recovered(survived) from this infection or not all depending on how much and how fast the puppy's body to produce enough antibody to neutralize the virus. The things we can do is perform proper supportive treatment to maintain the puppy at good body condition to prevent hypovolumic shock due to severe intestinal bleeding. These treatments are including fluid support, electrolytes support,and preventing continuous diarrhea/vomiting. We also give the puppies enough nutrition for their immune system to produce enough antibody as soon as possible. Most of the time we hospitalize the sick puppy in the hospital and give 24 hours intravenous treatment for about 3-5 days. According to my experience, we can save aout 85-90% of puppy's life. There are still some puppies can't be saved because of lack of antibody produced, severe blood loss shock, and cardiac arrest by endocarditis(virus induced).
In the USA, we have an in-house test kit to test the parvovirus inside dog's feces. It takes about 10 minutes to get the result which is very convenient for us to make the right diagnosis in the hospital immediately. There is no test kit available yet for corona virus. Some large Laboratories in the USA can run the antibody level of corona virus in sick puppy's blood. The good thing for corona virus infection is that it is not as severe as parvovirus, so proper supportive treatment always can save these puppies life.
The blood chemistry tests and cell counting only show us how is the body getting effects by these viral infections and can't give us an accurate diagnostic answer. Yes, we recommend to perform blood test if owner can afford the cost of these tests , not just for seeing how is the body condition also try to rule out other dieases and let us(doctor) have the best treatment plan. The blood tests I recommend are at least including CBC(complete blood count), eletrolytes(Na,Cl,K,Ca),chemistry(protein-albumin/globulin,liver and kidney function). Of course if the doctor can perform more complete test is even better. The most important thig for these diseases is accurate diagnosis with proper treatment.

血液化學檢測和cell counting 只可以提供我們病毒對狗的身體的影響但無法提供給我們準確的診斷方式,
是的,我們建議飼主如果有能力負擔的話可以做血液檢驗,
除了檢查身體的狀況,還要排除其他疾病讓醫生可以有最好的治療計畫,
