Dear doctor,
I'm worried sick now...
When i first brought Sweety (2 mths old) home, the breeder recommended me to put her on 1/2 tablet of calcium and 1 tablet of multi-vit..
Until she was around 4 months old, i increased it to 1 tablet of calcium and 2 tablets of multi-vit daily...
Recently, I found that her hindquarters were slightly "opened" outwards...
(*we never allow her to run on slippery floors / on tiles)
She has no problems in running and jumping ever...
In fact, she always acts like a monkey!
Today, i've talked to a few friends about my concern and read some articles online...
I found that excess calcium actually does harm to Sweety!!!
She's 5 months old now, and roughly, for 3 months, i had been giving her extra calcium daily!!
My questions:
1) Is there any possiblity that her slightly outward opening hindquarters are due to the extra calcium tabs i gave her?
2) How can i check and confirm that her hips are affected by the excess calcium?
3) Is there any way i can help her to pass out the excess calcium in her system?
Doctor, i'm very very worried.....
Hope to hear from you soon!
Cheers,
worried mom of Sweety....
