止痛藥要吃多久?

我是年前與您們聯絡的邊境牧羊犬的主人，之前您們說我的狗是外力造成的髖關節問題，本來是說吃止痛藥及SYNOQUIN早晚各一顆，可是後來止痛藥吃完了停了三天又見牠的腳跆起來甚至不敢著地了，這樣是不是表示得一直吃止痛藥呢?不過聽說止痛藥吃久了對胃腸不好，不知該如何是好?

還忘了請教一件事，像牠這樣腳跆起來的話還可以帶出去散步嗎?

Depending on the condition of problems. Sometimes we have to keep the pain killer for one week to 3-4 weeks or even longer. If your dog shows sign of pain after stopping medicine,it indicates there is still some degree of inflammation or something more than just pain. Please have your dog recheck by your doctor again if needed.

Dear Pairon:
I did viewed the video you sent over. The reason take a longer for your dog has to be on pain killer is that the probelm(luxation) is induced by trauma which there are lots of soft tissue(joint capsule and adjacent muscle) damage around hip joint. The femoral head is sitting on top of the dorsal rim of acetabulum at this moment and every movement will produce some frictions between these two bones and produce inflammation reaction. It take a while for the inflammation been controlled by NSAID. Your dog's walking ability will improve and get better once the soft tissue healed and there is no more bony touching. It may take 3-4 weeks to reach this stage. There is still a small chance that if these two bones continue to touch each other(femoral head didn't move away from dorsal acetabulum) and surgery will be the only way to cure the problem.

我看了你寄過來的影片，你家狗狗會需要比較長的疼痛控制期，是因為他的問題（關節錯位）是由外傷所導致，髖關節周圍的許多軟組織（關節囊及鄰近肌肉）都受到傷害。股骨頭現在的位置在髖臼外緣頂端，任何動作都會導致骨頭的彼此摩擦，進而造成發炎反應，要一段時間才能由NSAID控制住。等這些軟組織痊癒，骨頭間不再摩擦接觸，你家狗狗的走路狀況也會好轉，大概要3-4個禮拜的時間。有個小小的可能是，如果兩個骨頭還是繼續摩擦（股骨頭並未從背部髖臼分開），手術也許會是唯一的解決方式。

想再請教李醫生的就是那目前synoquin的用量是早晚一顆就夠了嗎?如果改成cosequin的用量也是早晚一顆嗎?止痛藥要持續一個月的話是否會傷腸胃?需要再補充胃乳嗎?

It is a good idea to give stomach protector, although the newest Nsaid is less irratation to stomach. Keep cosequin or synoquin on high dose in this period.
